Clean blow-by gases
Reducing the oil content of blow-by gases also reduces the number of particles in the exhaust gas that are created by combustion. This is a major contribution to increasing the service life of exhaust gas purification components such as particle filters or catalytic converters.
Before the blow-by gases from the crankcase ventilation are fed back to the intake air the oil has to be filtered out to prevent tar-like deposits forming on the intake ducts to the turbocharger or the intake air cooler.
Because they achieve a high level of separation FILTORQ FILTER oil separators provide the optimum protection for components of the air intake system against contamination, which would affect their function and damage them. In addition to this the high level of separation reduces oil consumption.
FILTORQ FILTER develops and produces oil separators as stand-alone components or as parts integrated into systems such as valve covers and oil filter modules.
